 Andy Lapthorne - Quad Division; Coach Naomi Cavaday

  • Runner up in the Australian open singles

  • Matchplay last week beat British number 2 - 7-5, 5-2 (retired)

  • Andy is now going to be World number 2.

  • April 1st r/u in men's singles South Africa

  • World no 2

  • Beat Hunter 2-6, 6-0, 6-0 a massive win for him as he had a 4-1 loss record, in South Africa. Lost in the Final to World No 1 - W/C 1st April 

Wins super series in South Africa w/c April 8th, a massive win for him and first super series.

Andy Lapthorne won his first super series event in
South Africa.


Mark McCarroll and Jordanne Whiley both won the singles and doubles events in Israel with Marc coming from behind in the third set 2-5 to take the title.


Mark McCarroll - Open men's division; Coach Ryan Jones

  • Preston runner up in both doubles and singles. W/C 19th Feb

  • Sunderland runner up in doubles. W/C 25th Feb.

  • Last week Mark won singles in Switzerland beating the World number 3. W/C 7th March

  • Mark is approx World number 16.

  • Mark won Italy singles and doubles. W/C 14th March

  • Mark wins singles and doubles title in Israel - W/C 22nd April


Jordanne Whiley - Open ladies division; Coach Paul Seymour

  • Preston won both singles and doubles 19th Feb

  • Sunderland won both singles and doubles 25th Feb

  • Matchplay at the NTC last week played the British number 1 Lucy Shuker and split sets 6-2, 4-6 having not taken a set of her for 2 years.  Last Friday she played the British men's number 3 and beat him 6-3, 5-4 (he retired) She has never won more than 2 games off him before.

  • At this time, she is now moving up to World number 13.

  • Jordy beat World no 5 and British no 1, 7-5, 6-0 - lost in semi finals South Africa but won the doubles - April 1st.

  • World no 12.

  • Jordy wins singles and doubles in Israel - W/C 22nd April
